Govt to cut back on consultant and contractor spend

The Government is cutting back on consultants and contractors as it finds $4 billion in savings to make up for lower-than-forecast revenue over the next four years.

It is also asking government agencies to cut spending by 1% or 2%.

These savings are on top of the $4b worth of savings that Finance
