Redeployed East Coast forestry workers to fix roads and plant trees

UPDATED: National's economic development spokesperson Todd McClay says logs are starting to be shipped again.

The government is spending $28 million on redeploying almost 300 workers on the East Coast displaced by the economic impact of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The money comes from the $100m fund announced earlier in the week in the government’s $12.1 billion economic response
