Public servants more confident than private sector about employment prospects

Consumer confidence might have dropped in the past three months but people’s confidence about their employment prospects has remained steady.
The latest Westpac McDermott Miller employment confidence survey recorded an index score of 87.4 in September, virtually unchanged from 87.3 in June.
