OECD urges New Zealand to set fiscal targets

OECD rejects suggestions NZ could face stagflation and expects inflationary pressures to ease.

The OECD expects New Zealand’s economy to grow strongly this year as it continues to recover from Covid-19 pandemic.

It is forecasting GDP growth of 3.8% in 2022, before easing to 2.5% next year.

But the forecasts in the OECD economic survey of New Zealand do not appear to take the impact
