New legislation to replace RMA should be law next year

The Government is confident new law will make consenting quicker and cheaper while providing greater environmental protection.

The Government has announced the changes it says will make getting planning consents easier, quicker and cheaper, but they won’t come into effect immediately – and National, Act and Green Parties are all critical. 

The Resource Management Act will be replaced by the Natural and Built Environment
