Migrant family border exemption provides entry to ‘hundreds’

A caveat that excludes those without a year left on their visa will still leave thousands of families separated.

Immigration Minister Kris Faafoi has announced the first policy specific to migrant workers with family stranded offshore. 

From April 30 a new set of border exemptions will see hundreds of the families members of critical workers with longer-term work visas finally have their applications
