Medsafe approves Pfizer vaccine for young teens

Those aged 12 to 15 now be able to be vaccinated, the prime minister says.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has today announced MedSafe’s provisional approval of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine for 12 to 15-years-old but that doesn't mean they'll be getting it any time soon. 

Ardern said she welcomed the approval for about 265,000 young people in the age bracket.
