Labour’s election bid for parental support

Changes to paid parental leave will be phased in over three years.

The Labour Party has promised to introduce four weeks’ paid parental leave for partners.

They will be able to take it concurrently or consecutively with the primary carer’s leave and it is additional to the current statutory entitlement of two weeks’ unpaid leave.
