Independent review to look at ACC costs and rehabilitation

Rehabilitation rates are down, and weekly compensation costs have increased.

ACC is spending $2 billion more a year than it collects in levies.

The earners, work and motor vehicle levies for ACC will rise 5% a year for the next three years to meet the rising costs of the scheme.

ACC Minister Matt Doocey said for someone earning about $70,000 a year it meant they would be charged an extra $42 in the 2025-26 financial year and an extra $140
