Shane Jones warns ‘sovereign risk’ is scaring investors away.

There are concerns natural gas supplies will run short of demand within a few years.

Resources Minister Shane Jones is considering proposing some sort of compensation system be introduced to help encourage international investors to invest in gas and minerals extraction in this country.

Jones suggested “sovereign risk” was deterring companies from investing here.
