Household incomes rising but the wealthier are doing better

Average annual household income rose 3.6% to $107,731 in the year to the end of June 2020.

While the average went up, Statistics New Zealand’s household income statistics reveal higher-income households did better than lower-income households. This was even more apparent once housing costs
