The Green Party had a bitter-sweet result at the 2023 election.

Its co-leader James Shaw says as booby prizes go it was the best the Greens could have hoped for. The party got its best election result with 15 MPs, up from its previous high of 14, and won three electorate seats. Eight of its 15 MPs
