Government to review Pharmac’s ‘timeliness’, ‘transparency’

Health Minister Andrew Little said the agency is overdue a check-up, but funding level not in scope.

The government has announced a review into its drugs-buying agency Pharmac, with a focus on its transparency and attitude towards cutting-edge medicines.

The scope of the review will cover how well Pharmac performs against its current objectives and whether these should change.
