Government makes more changes to visa settings to offset labour shortages

At least 75,000 visa holders will benefit from the changes.

Amidst ongoing concerns about labour shortages, the government is making further changes to enable migrant workers to remain in the country while border restrictions are in place.

It is increasing the maximum duration for essential skills visas, for jobs paid below the median wage, from 12 to 24
