Government launches direct loans to SMEs

Eligibility criteria will be the same as the wage subsidy scheme.

Struggling small businesses are now being offered interest-free loans for a year as the government takes further steps to cushion the impact of Covid-19 on the economy.

If they pay it back within a year, they pay no interest. Otherwise the interest rate would be 3% for a maximum five-year term
