Government extends deadline for new social housing

The Coalition Government has given Kāinga Ora an additional six months to meet its target for supplying new social housing.

In a paper to Finance Minister Nicola Willis, the Treasury said for Kāinga Ora to meet its Budget commitments, it needed to deliver 2650 net new social housing places by June
