The Government's tweaking the clean car fee and rebate scheme from July 1.

Vehicle sale yards are again out in force telling consumers to buy quick before Government changes kick-in, increasing fees on higher-emitting vehicles, as well as limiting the number of rebates on offer.

From July 1, rebates and fees will change, with the maximum fee rising from $5175 to $6900,
