If we lockdown until we eradicate the virus we will create a hermit nation quarantined from the world until there is a vaccine.
No tourism: our biggest employer and earns $17 billion a year. No overseas students: another $5b a year. Young Kiwis will flee in record numbers from a hermit nation.
