TAIC report outlines dangers in mountain ridge soaring

The Transport Accident Investigation Authority (TAIC) questioned an instructor’s degree of competency in its report on a fatal gliding accident that killed the pilot and a student on Mt Tauhara near Taupo on May 31, 2020.

It was the second flight that day by the instructor with short-term members
