Rotorua airport forges closer ties with hapū land owner

Local community will be more involved in future activity and developments.

Rotorua Regional Airport has formalised its relationship with the historic Māori land owners, the Ngāti Uenukukōpako Iwi Trust, which will be more involved with future developments.

The Rotorua Lakes Council owns the airport, which opened in 1964 and is on land taken under the Public Works Act.
