Embraer E-190-100 makes commercial debut at Wellington Airport

New service from Brisbane makes Qantas the capital's leading international airline.

A new jetliner, the Brazilian-made Embraer E-190-100, made its commercial debut at a New Zealand airport when Qantas began its new Brisbane-Wellington service on Sunday.

Qantas operates 22 of these jets on regional routes and to the South Pacific, but this is the first time on a trans-Tasman route.
