‘Choppy’ Patterson says CAA decision ‘outrageous’

Authority rejects coroner‘s recommendations on helicopter safety.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has rejected a coroner’s recommendation to install mandatory black boxes – or cockpit video recording systems – in helicopters.  

This comes six months after Queenstown-based Coroner Alexandra Cunninghame released her report into a fatal helicopter accident.
