Another airman to head NZ Defence Force

Air Vice-Marshal Tony Davies, Vice Chief of Defence Force since 2018, has been promoted to head all three arms of the military. He was Chief of Air Force from 2016-18.

He replaces Air Marshall Kevin Short, who was appointed Chief of Defence Force in 2018 and was previously Vice Chief of Defence
