Monster bets on the All Blacks beating Georgia by 62 points, or 68 points

UPDATE: The All Blacks won 43 - 10. Ouch.

EARLIER: The All Blacks will beat Georgia in their World Cup pool game this morning NZT.

But by how much?

That's the cold-sweat question for two different punters, who have each taken a big bet on the winning margin.

The TAB says one has placed $30,000 at $1.87 on New Zealand winning by at least 62 points (potentially returning $56,100)

The other has wagered the same amount at $2.45, for NZ to win by at least 68 points (for a $73,500 return).

In broader World Cup betting action, based on the cumulative percentage of bets placed on the Outright Winner book, Australia are now joint second favourites to win the World Cup

  • Wales 5%

Confidence in the All Blacks continues to decline
Punters' confidence is trending down, based on the cumulative pecentage of bets placed for NZ to be the Outright Winner:

July 2014 – World Cup Markets Open: 56% on the All Blacks
Sept 2015 – Eve of the Tournament: 43% on the All Blacks
Oct 1: 40% on the All Blacks
