Toy story: Zuru and Lego tussle in Court of Appeal

Lego has been an ‘aggressive, ruthless’ protector of its rights, Court hears today.

The Zuru product was introduced to take on Lego at a competitive price.

A toy tussle kicked up a gear today as Danish giant Lego and the NBR Lister Mowbray family’s Zuru went head-to-head at the Court of Appeal.

Last year, a trademark dispute in the High Court ruled in Lego’s favour after Zuru’s Max Build More building bricks were sold as ‘Lego brick
