Maritime NZ charges over POAL death first of their kind

A number of charges have been filed over the death of Pala’amo Kalati.

Charges laid by Maritime New Zealand against Ports of Auckland yesterday over the death of a worker are the first of their kind, according to unionists.

Father of seven Pala’amo Kalati was killed on August 30 last year after being crushed when a container was dropped during a lifting operation
