IRD liquidates fintech over four-year PAYE debt

Court entitled to infer insolvency from non-payment of undisputed tax debt, says judge.

MyPay New Zealand offered a mobile payment interface for Chinese payment platforms.

Four years of unpaid PAYE taxes led to the liquidation this morning of digital payment technology company MyPay New Zealand.

The move follows the bankruptcy of its founding director Lei ‘Andy’ Zhang in June and the suspension of its parent company Mei Pay’s shares on the National Stock
