High Court bats away Eric Watson company’s poverty plea

Cullen Group said costs order would tip it into insolvency. High Court disagreed.

A High Court judge batted away pleas by former NBR Rich Lister Eric Watson’s parent company for more time to pay about $500,000 in overdue court costs in Inland Revenue’s tax avoidance case.
