Former MegaUpload executives banned as directors

Mathias Ortmann and Bram van der Kolk were convicted after the reproduction and distribution of millions of copyrighted works.

MegaUpload was founded by Kim Dotcom in 2005.

Former executives of disgraced former website MegaUpload have been barred from director duties until 2028.

The Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment today announced Mathias Ortmann and Bram van der Kolk were prohibited from managing or being a director of any company in New Zealand.
