‘It's the seriousness of the case’: CBL appeal to go ahead

UPDATE: The Crown claimed errors in the High Court’s not guilty verdict on two charges against ex-CBL executives Peter Harris and Carden Mulholland. The appeal has been granted.

CBL Insurance collapsed in 2018, resulting in a $750 million loss.

UPDATE: The Court of Appeal has granted leave to appeal two of the eight charges the defendants were acquitted of in the CBL prosecution.

The Crown had claimed errors in the High Court’s not guilty verdict on two out of eight charges against ex-CBL executives Peter Harris and Carden Mulholland.
