Court throws out greenhouse gas claims, mostly

An unusual lawsuit against seven companies gets two out of three claims struck out.

A “novel” claim seeking declarations of public nuisance, negligence and breach of duty by seven companies whose activities release greenhouse gases has been mostly struck out by the Auckland High Court.
