Censure and $15k fine for Tingey misconduct

Lawyers’ disciplinary tribunal releases penalty decision after ‘incident of domestic violence’ in 2009.

Barrister Murray Tingey has been fined $15,000 and formally censured by the Lawyers & Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal after it found him guilty of misconduct in July.

The tribunal’s decision on penalty was made more than a week ago on October 10 but released only today.
