Synlait shares hit record low

UPDATE: Profit warning hits shares and listed bonds after big customer cuts infant formula demand.

Synlait has cut its 2023 profit expectations by $20m.

UPDATE: Shares in milk processor Synlait plunged 11% to a record low of $1.90 when trading resumed this morning after the company’s latest profit warning.

The drop is the latest in a precipitous fall since a 2023 high of $3.59 as recently as mid-February.
