Struggling Star starts fire sale to avert collapse

Casino operator is running out of cash and its shares have hit record lows.

Star has been fined by regulators, its licence is suspended and the it is struggling with falling revenues and cost over runs

Embattled ASX-listed casino operator Star Entertainment has begun a fire sale of its assets, selling off parts of its Sydney property for A$60 million ($66m).

Star, which earlier this month told the market that it had only A$79m in cash available, will reap a discounted A$60m from selling its Sydney
