Napier Port splashes out on staff bonus, boosts dividend

Hawke’s Bay port, the fourth-largest terminal on container traffic, recorded a 15.9% improvement in revenues.

Napier Port had paid back $20.5m of loans and borrowings over the year.

Napier Port will pay each of its 320 employees a cash and share bonus of $2291 on the strength of a 49.7% increase in net profit after tax (npat) to $24.8 million for its September year.

And while staff share a payout pool of $675,000, the NZX- listed company has announced a final dividend of $12m,
