Mercury hits go on Gore wind farm
Stage 1 of project will have capacity for 43MW.

Mercury Energy has confirmed construction of a new wind farm at Kaiwera Downs south of Gore at a capital cost of $115 million.
The farm will feature 10 turbines supplied by Danish company Vestas to generate 43MW and is expected to take about a year to complete.
