The company went into a trading halt late Tuesday following a media report.

A2 hopes to get US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to allow it to sell baby formula into the United States.

A2 Milk has played down a media report today which suggested the company was nearing approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to allow it to sell baby formula into that market.

The announcement came shortly after the NZX's regulatory arm, NZ RegCo, placed a trading halt at 4.29pm
