No costings for fast-tracked Auckland rail project
Capital costs related to AT’s now-fast tracked rail project to remove level crossings are likely headed to at least half a billion dollars, but could also be in ‘never-never’ land.
Auckland Transport says it’s pleased that Auckland’s 42 level railway crossings have come into the crosshairs of Government's fast track hit list, but it remains vague as to the capital outlay required as it plays catch up to looming increases in commuter rail traffic.
