What’s the point of green bonds?

This season, the bond market is mostly wearing green.

The fashion is as inescapable as flares in the 70s. In the past six months, we’ve had green bonds from Genesis, Goodman, Precinct, Transpower, and this week an offer announcement from Contact Energy.
