Wellington suffers as regions produce green shoots: Kiwibank

Latest scoreboard outlines better economic results for most, while public sector cuts dent the Capital.

Wellington’s economy remains subdued partly because of widespread job cuts.

In addition, the South Island is eclipsing the North Island, as Southland scored the highest in the country, led by its construction boom.
