RBNZ green lights debt-to-income ratios

The central bank will also ease loan-to-value restrictions from July 1.

The RBNZ has green lit debt-to-income ratios – while it will also ease loan-to-value restrictions from July 1.

The new DTIs will limit the amount of high-DTI lending by banks.

As a result, the new DTI settings will allow 20% of new owner-occupier lending to borrowers with a DTI ratio over six; and
