RBA holds rates for a second consecutive month

But Governor Philip Lowe says further hikes may be needed to cool inflation pressures.

The RBA has hiked 12 times since May last year.

Australia’s central bank has left its cash rate target on hold for the second consecutive month at 4.1%.

Economists were divided as to whether the RBA would hike or stay still. The central bank started hiking in May last year and has delivered 12 hikes since then.
