NZIER forecasts a lower interest rate track

The New Zealand Institute of Economic Research warns the Reserve Bank might go too far in raising interest rates to contain inflation.

In its latest quarterly predictions, NZIER said inflation pressures remained intense a year after the Reserve Bank started raising the official cash rate.
