Kiwi dollar holds firm with USD retreating this year

NZD made gains against AUD, with recent strength against USD as well.

US weakness is Kiwi's gain, according to BNZ's Jason Wong.

The Kiwi dollar has held firm against its global counterparts, with signs inflation pressures may be nearing a peak and could start to slump this year.

Overnight, the NZD made a gain of half a cent to trade at about 93 cents against the Australian dollar and was little changed against the US dollar
