Unleashed Software, Takapuna-based global software-as-a-service provider, has announced the appointment of Julian Wheeler as the company’s chief product officer.
Wheeler had been at Sky TV, where he was the chief product and technology officer for more than four years. Wheeler has a wealth of knowledge from past experience in large markets and extensive expertise in strategy, product management and technology transformation.
As CPO for Unleashed, Wheeler is tasked with driving the company’s product vision and strategy. He will be responsible for building and managing Unleashed’s product roadmap, with a key focus to lead the product management and agile delivery teams, and work closely with the engineering team to ensure the company is meeting the product needs of its customers.
The appointment comes hot on the heels of a successful evening at the Westpac Auckland Business Awards 2019 – North & West region, where Unleashed won the Supreme Business Excellence Award, Excellence in Marketing Award and Employer of the Year.
Unleashed chief executive Gareth Berry said, “Unleashed has gone from strength to strength this year and the appointment of Julian Wheeler is indicative of that. We’re excited to see how Julian’s expertise can contribute to our growth across our global markets in 2020 and beyond.”
