TVNZ has announced changes to its executive team today. The new structure will see the team reduce from 10 to seven roles to better align the business with its strategic priorities and deliver a sustainable digital-first business.
Newly created roles of chief revenue officer (commercial and marketing), chief digital officer (technology and transformation) and chief operating officer (legal, people and operations) will be taken up by current executive members, Jodi O’Donnell, Kym Niblock, and Brent McAnulty respectively. McAnulty will continue as interim CEO while this role is recruited for by TVNZ’s board.
Leadership of TVNZ’s programming remains unchanged with Phil O’Sullivan as executive editor of news and current affairs, while Nevak Rogers stays as acting chief content officer.
TVNZ has also appointed Tracey Richardson as chief financial officer in a permanent capacity.
These changes will see current chief people officer Nicola Simpson and marketing director Jonathan Symons depart the organisation. TVNZ said it was grateful for the immense contribution they both have made to the business. As previously announced, chief transformation officer, Cate Calver is commencing the role of CEO of Great Southern Television in the New Year.
