Paolo Ragone will step into the role of chief technology officer
Trade Me has announced that Paolo Ragone is to be stepping into the role of chief technology officer.
Ragone brings more than 18 years’ experience to Trade Me. He has worked on product and innovation at Ebay, held the position of CTO at Gumtree Australia and, most recently, as CTO general manager at Air New Zealand.
Trade Me CEO Anders Skoe said: “Paolo brings a great combination of experience as well as a fresh perspective for Trade Me’s next chapter.”
Ragone said: “The world of classifieds is close to my heart and one in which I’ve spent nearly 12 years of my career; joining Trade Me feels very much like going back home. I’m looking forward to learning more about this great Kiwi business, taking on its challenges and doing great work with the team.”
The position of chief technology officer is a new role created after chief product and technology officer, Simon Young, announced his intention to move on from Trade Me.
