T&G Global has appointed Bastian von Streit as a non-independent director effective immediately.
A familiar name for shareholders, von Streit became T&G chief financial officer in 2018 before returning home to Germany in 2021 where he became CFO for BayWa Global Produce, another subsidiary of T&G's parent company.
At the time he was replaced by current T&G CFO Doug Bygrave who had been with the company for more than 24 years.
T&G Chair Benedikt Mangold, thought von Streit would bring "valued expertise" to the board.
“Bastian brings extensive financial experience and a deep knowledge of the fresh produce and agriculture sectors. We look forward to the valuable contribution he will make to the Board and business.”
Von Streit has more than 20 years of corporate finance experience across Germany and New Zealand, having held roles at Deloitte, T&G, BayWa AG and BayWa Global Produce.
He has been with the BayWa group since 2011.
T&G is set to hold its annual shareholder meeting on June 26.
