Sky Network Television New Zealand has announced the appointment of Belinda Rowe as an independent director on the Sky board, effective March 1, 2023.
Rowe has held global leadership roles in marketing, communications, digital, and media, including with Publicis Media, Zenith, Mojo, and O2 Telefonica. She also successfully led the creation of a compelling content marketing and sport sponsorship practice across 32 markets.
Rowe’s governance experience includes current non-executive director roles at ASX-listed Australian media company HT&E Ltd, Temple & Webster Group, and 3P Learning Ltd. She is also a nominated director of Soprano Design (a global technology services company) and is on the board of AFL club, Sydney Swans.
Rowe is passionate about supporting and developing women leaders, and is a member of Chief Executive Women Australia, Women in Advertising and Communications London, Minerva Network supporting women in sport, Mentor Walks, and the Marketing Academy.
Sky TV chair Philip Bowman welcomed Rowe’s appointment, saying: “Belinda brings a very relevant set of skills and international experience to the Sky board. With a career spanning leadership roles in global content marketing and communications, along with her strong governance experience in media, technology, and sport, Belinda will provide a valuable perspective to Sky’s business. We are delighted she has agreed to join the Sky board.”

Sydney-based Rowe will join the Sky board on March 1 and will seek election by Sky’s shareholders at the next annual meeting.
As required by NZX Listing Rules 2.6.1 and 2.6.2, the board has determined that Rowe will be an independent director.
