Silverfin Capital Limited has announced the appointment of their new chief financial officer, Vedant Desai.
Desai is responsible for all financial and risk aspects of the $620 million property investment company including reporting financial results to investors in Silverfin’s 24 separate syndication schemes.
Originally from Australia, Desai came to Silverfin from the UK, where he has been based since 2011.
Desai has worked in finance director roles in the restaurant, hotel, and commercial real estate industries for the past six years. His most recent position was as finance director at Bizspace, a commercial real estate company.
His key achievement at Bizspace was being an integral part of the transaction team that successfully sold the business to Sirius Real Estate.
Desai has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Business Systems from Monash University, Melbourne. He has been a member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand since 2010.
Desai is looking forward to getting settled in New Zealand and said: “I am looking forward to working closely with Silverfin’s stakeholders and ensuring that investors remain well informed with access to high quality property syndications.”
